Because of its elephant-like shape, the island is also known as “Elephant Island.” Koh Chang is by far the biggest island in Eastern Thailand and the second-largest island in all of Thailand after Phuket. Waterfalls

Directions to Koh Chang

Koh Chang buses
Bus transportation from Bangkok to the ferry pier is less expensive but takes about five hours. You can simplify things by purchasing a bus ticket with a ride to the pier and the ferry to Koh Chang.
The simplest, fastest, and most expensive method is to fly with Bangkok Airways from Bangkok to Trat. There are at least two daily flights, which take an hour and cost between THB3000 and THB4000 one-way. The final 20 kilometres from Trat to either Ao Thammachat or Dan Kao port in Laem Ngop, where you can board a boat to Koh Chang, will be travelled in a songthaew for THB50. Four daily boats connect Koh Chang with its two main adjacent islands, Koh Mak and Koh Kood, during the high season (November to April). However, only part of them also stops at Koh Way and Koh Rayang.
Koh Chang’s nightlife
Even though Koh Chang isn’t mainly known as a party island, anyone can stay up late here if they want to! The beautiful locations of White Sand Beach, are the only places with nightlife in this area.
White Sand Beach is the “metropolis” of the island for celebration and nightlife. It undoubtedly has the most diverse nightlife on the island. On the island of Koh Chang, there are many beach cafés with daily live music, lady bars, and the lone indoor disco.

Life at night in Kai Bae
The busiest beach in Kai Bae is undoubtedly next to White Sand Beach and Lonely Beach. The village has numerous eateries, bars, and pubs along the route.
Party at Lonely Beach
Lonely Beach is almost the party centre of the island; nowhere else is celebrated as long and as exuberant as there. Mostly the bars are open until the last people have left; there is no fixed curfew here.
